Oh noes! LOOK!

Kim finally made the local newspapers! Being home on vacation...taking life easy...I get phoned up by the local newspaper wanting to write a article about my years at Cesar Ritz (apparently my grandmother had called them (4 weeks of no visits for her). Me in the newspaper? Chills and extreme nervousness immediately struck me on the thoughts of 8000 people staring at my corny picture (see below) and reading my story...little Kim becoming a local celebrity? Well...after the cute summer intern had shot a rather sleepy looking picture, gotten my name wrong and produced a hundred spelling mistakes (challenge you to find them...those of you who are able to understand it), the article was published. Those of you who read Norwegian, can click on the article below to get a full sized version.

Jumbo Pancake!

Having a giant Schnitzel for dinner is one thing..but a breakfast pancake the size of a 17" car tire is another thing. I managed to eat half with the other half nicely packed up in a to-go box! Snacked on this one for a whole day...havnt eaten pancakes since.

Sunny Diego

Greetings from Sunny Diego! I figured after several requests that I would revive this blog in order to keep all you fans out there updated on my whereabouts! I am currently working for the Manchester Grand Hyatt in San Diego. I am 6 months into my 12 month Rooms Division Management training which consists of housekeeping and front desk. Alot of people have asked me why didn't continue down the Food and Beverage path? As my mentor and I concluded...self exploration...thought I'd see what else a hotel has to offer before I settled to one department. In the end I also believe this will benefit me as I will have a more thorough understanding of the hotel operation as a whole. To answer your next question...no I have not yet found an answer to where I feel the most comfortable...but I will keep you posted :) Below I have posted some pictures of the hotel and San Diego. The Manchester Grand Hyatt is a convention hotel with 1625 guest rooms and 125,000 square feet (11612.88 m²) of function Space.

The night turned out to be one of the Legen - oh those of you who are lactose intolerant better watch out cause the next half of the word is - DARY! John brought his H&M collection of sunglasses so we rode in stYle! :) Below are some pics. Middle one is taken with my uber camera phone!

Schnitzel madness!

For the past few day me and Ian have been searching Vienna for the "Ultimate Schnitzel". Some say its a folk lore, but we decided to go find the truth. Searching high and low...left and right, left corner to right corner and right corner to left corner, we stumbled upon what looked to be a rather...yes...what to say...mysterious looking schack. We entered and stumbled our way to a table somewhere in a remote corner, where we could hide from the local stares. Schnitzel was ordered and I must say..its not a legend...its fact...we dined long and hard until we sat there...looking like we were both pregnant in the 9th month...sweating and gasping for breath! I shot a picture of Ian as he first set his teeth into his piece of heaven!

But...Mission Accomplished!

Winter Term 2008

Greetings fans from all over the world...another update from the sunny city of Vienna! Another term has gone and I am now facing my IP (bachelor paper). Its been a very special term as most of my best friends graduated and went on their way to who knows where. I thank you all, for three (or some two), great years...I even re-registered on facebook for all of yall...took some sweat & tears but I managed it in the end. Hope you all will stay in touch and I we will meet again...as they say...you always meet twice in life. Below I posted two pictures from one of our last days. We had this yard sale and I managed to purchase a water pipe for CHF 15. Not sure what to do with it I had lectures from Florian (red jacket sucking on the bottle...hahaha), and we were all set.

Once again cheers....and...as Inger Line says....Adios amigos y amigas!

Norwegian pride!

This picture was one I found and I thought it to be absolutely Legen......ohhh those of you who are allergic to milk better watch out cause the next word is.......DARY! As you can see I am well equipped with a Action packed beer case (Viking Size). We need more nights like that one!

Morning Shock!

Waking up, groggy and half unconcious as usual I thought I'd open the blinds for once. Oh my god...what is that (look at picture)!?!?!? Geez, it hasnt snowed the last two years that I've been here but now it all comes down at once. I had to blow dust off my old GPS in order to find school. After digging my way through all the snow I arrived looking like frosty the snowman!
