Oh noes! LOOK!

Kim finally made the local newspapers! Being home on vacation...taking life easy...I get phoned up by the local newspaper wanting to write a article about my years at Cesar Ritz (apparently my grandmother had called them (4 weeks of no visits for her). Me in the newspaper? Chills and extreme nervousness immediately struck me on the thoughts of 8000 people staring at my corny picture (see below) and reading my story...little Kim becoming a local celebrity? Well...after the cute summer intern had shot a rather sleepy looking picture, gotten my name wrong and produced a hundred spelling mistakes (challenge you to find them...those of you who are able to understand it), the article was published. Those of you who read Norwegian, can click on the article below to get a full sized version.

Jumbo Pancake!

Having a giant Schnitzel for dinner is one thing..but a breakfast pancake the size of a 17" car tire is another thing. I managed to eat half with the other half nicely packed up in a to-go box! Snacked on this one for a whole day...havnt eaten pancakes since.

Sunny Diego

Greetings from Sunny Diego! I figured after several requests that I would revive this blog in order to keep all you fans out there updated on my whereabouts! I am currently working for the Manchester Grand Hyatt in San Diego. I am 6 months into my 12 month Rooms Division Management training which consists of housekeeping and front desk. Alot of people have asked me why didn't continue down the Food and Beverage path? As my mentor and I concluded...self exploration...thought I'd see what else a hotel has to offer before I settled to one department. In the end I also believe this will benefit me as I will have a more thorough understanding of the hotel operation as a whole. To answer your next question...no I have not yet found an answer to where I feel the most comfortable...but I will keep you posted :) Below I have posted some pictures of the hotel and San Diego. The Manchester Grand Hyatt is a convention hotel with 1625 guest rooms and 125,000 square feet (11612.88 m²) of function Space.
