Summer 2007 !

It has finally been confirmed. This summer kimmy will be cruising around Europe, onboard of one of the Yachts of Seabourn. I will be working in Food & Beverage on a 6 month contract, with 2 off. Quite excited as this is something I have never done before.

Seabourn was founded by the Norwegian Atle Brynestad in the mid eighties, targeting the ultra luxurious market. As a proud viking I am, I will equip my helmet and venture forth upholding Norway's prime reputation! Hehe...

Career Fair '06

Every year our school hosts a Career Fair on campus. They invite large hospitality chains from all over the world, to come and recruit students. Since I am going on a new internship this coming spring, I thought this would be my chance to find something interesting. After days of CV & Cover Letter writing, picture taking and dealing with my nerves the day was finally there and I was ready to go! I was going to apply for Seabourn Cruise Lines & Rezidor SAS. The day started with a presentation of all the various properties in seperate class rooms, where one could go and listen to the ones of interest. After the presentations, we had to meet up with the recruiters and present ourselves and our papers. The recruiter would then decide if he wants you back for an interview. At this stage my heart was already about to pop out of my chest. It went all very good though, and I was invited back for an interview with both. The afternoon went along and I had both my interviews, ending up with possible offers from both..so if it all comes together now I have the big decision of where I want to go..which is not quite the easy one..but I have my ideas...will update you on that later as I make up my mind!

Switzy Weather

The area of Lake Geneva has some really SPUNKY weather at times. One minute everything is calm and nice, the other trees are flying around. Thought I'd share these pictures I got from a friend with ya'll. Shows the magnitude of some of these storms...

Kimmy is back Ya'll !

After a week of mothers ongoing cooking, I'm back for another term. Bulked up and ready, for yet another term of the reknown UCCR diet (The pizza lady at Müller was waving the flag and shouting cheers at my arrival...think I'm her best costumer). Oh well...looks like I will be having a much more busy term...but all I am looking forward to now is the upcoming weekend! With this many students (280), the upcoming parties just have to be good! We'll just have to wait and see...
